Book 7 - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

J. K. Rowling began writing on it at the end of 2004. She revealed the title - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - on 21 December 2006. The book will be released July 21, 2007. J.K. Rowling Biography

J.K. (Joanne Kathleen) Rowling was born in 1965 and grew up in Chepstow, Gwent. She left Chepstow to study French at Exeter University, where her course included a year in Paris. As a postgraduate, she moved to London to work at Amnesty International doing research into human rights abuses in Francophone Africa. She started writing Harry Potter after the idea occurred to her on an interminable Manchester to London train journey. Jo then moved to north Portugal to teach English as a foreign language, married, got pregnant, and kept writing. By the time her daughter was born, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was one-quarter finished.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was published by Bloomsbury Children's Books in June 1997 to great critical acclaim, and has since won the Nestlé Smarties Book Prize Gold Medal (9—11 years), the FCBG Children's Book Award (overall winner), the Birmingham Cable Children's Book Award, the Young Telegraph Paperback of the Year, the British Book Awards' Children's Book of the Year and the Sheffield Children's Book Award, and was short-listed for the Guardian Fiction Award and the Carnegie Medal (received 'Commended'). The book has also won two extremely prestigious foreign awards — Sorcieres Prix 1998 in France and the Premio Cento per la Letteratura Infantile 1998 in Italy.

J.K. Rowling wrote two books in aid of Comic Relief, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Quidditch through the Ages which were published in March 2001.

Warner Brothers have bought the rights to the first two books in the Harry Potter series. The first film was released on 16 November 2001. The film of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was released on 15 November 2002.

The fifth book in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, was published on June 21st 2003.

The Latin and Welsh translations of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone were published by Bloomsbury in July 2003. The Irish Gaelic and Ancient Greek translations follow in the summer 2004, and the Scottish Gaelic translation at a date to be confirmed.

All four of the published Harry Potter novels by JK Rowling have been voted into the BBC Big Read's top 100, and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has been voted into the top 21. The list was voted for by people in the UK. On December 21st, 2004, publishers announced that the sixth book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, would be released on July 16th, 2005.

Urmatorul film din seria Harry Potter va fi lansat de catre Warner Bros in noiembrie si asa cum ne-am obisnuit sa se intample in ultimul
timp odata cu el Electronic Arts va propune si jocul omonim.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire este povestea aventurilor prin care va trece Harry Potter in cadrul competitiei Triwizard Tournament in care trebuie sa infrunte un dragon, sa isi salveze prietenii din Black Lake si sa il infrunte chiar pe Lord Voldemort.

Jucatorii isi vor putea asuma identitatea lui Harry, Ron, sau Hermione, si pentru prima data grafica jocului se va baza pe actorii care interpreteaza acest roluri in film

Noutatile nu se opresc insa aici. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire va avea si o componenta multiplayer, in care jucatorii vor putea coopera pentru a invinge demonii si pentru a duce la bun sfarsit aventurile din joc.

Tot in premiera, atunci cand jucatorii vor face o vraja, controller-ul va reactiona prin vibratii incercand sa reproduca miscarile baghetei magice.

Dupa cum era de asteptat, in afara faptului ca jocul va fi lansat pentru toate platformele de jocuri, vor exista si versiuni pentru consolele portabile, a caror dezvoltare a fost incredintata lui Electronic Arts UK.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire este cea de-a patra carte a seriei. Pe data de 16 iulie va fi lansat cel de-al saselea titlu, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, numai pentru piata americana fiind pregatite 10.8 milioane de copii.
